ATIA 2015 call for papers - April 21- June 20th 2014

Who should submit?
ATIA welcomes abstracts on the uses of assistive technology in a wide variety of settings - school, home, recreation, rehabilitation, university and workplace - from an equally wide group of qualified individuals including:

Special Education Educators

Abstracts should cover the use of assistive technology from a practitioner or user perspective and may be in the form of a case study, demonstration, implementation study, panel discussion, poster session, research paper, or tips and techniques workshop.

We request that you submit a maximum of two abstracts per speaker. Only the first two abstracts submitted will be put forward for the review process. Please double check your submission before submitting to ensure all sections are complete. Incomplete submissions cannot be accepted.

Submissions must have Learning Objectives that are specific, measurable, and begin with an action verb. Abstracts with incorrectly formatted Learning Objectives will be returned for revisions or may not be accepted.
Priority will be placed on advanced and intermediate level education submissions.

New in the ATIA 2015 Call for Presentations

Webinar Orientation
Join us for an overview and orientation to the ATIA 2015 Call for Presentations on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, 3:00 - 4:00 PM EDT. If you are considering speaking at ATIA 2015 for the first time or if you are a returning speaker, join us to learn what's new for this year and tips on how to submit a successful proposal.

This webinar will be recorded for future access for those individuals unable to attend the Live Broadcast.

New Educational Strands

ATIA has a new International Strand for the ATIA 2015 Orlando Conference. Additionally, ATIA has made several revisions and additions to the strands. Visit the Session Strand web page for details on new strands, updated descriptions and strand advisor bios.

ATIA will also continue to feature Bring Your Own Technology (technology devices includes: iPads, Tables, etc.) sessions. The Bring Your Own Technology rooms will be set classroom style with charging stations available in the back of the classroom. Wireless internet across session types will also be available to all speakers for ATIA 2015 Orlando.

Speakers receive discounted registration fees of $350 when registration is received on or before November 17, 2014, for the full conference (onsite value of $550).
